Woohoo!! I’ve survived the hellish heat that was our summer. I’ve survived raging forest fires within 1 mile of our home. Now to see if I can survive winter. So far our winter hasn’t been all that bad. A few nights of high 20′s but it all equals out with our daytime high of upper 60′s. Fog this morning. Really, really foggy out there until almost noon.
I’m sitting here trying to come up with something slightly interesting to post. So far, I got nothing.
Ahh, here’s a tidbit that might (or not) interest you. Our little town made national news during the summer because all 5 police officers were dismissed. Useless bunch for the most part. Anyway, from all the attention we received you’d have thought this was the only town on earth to operate without a police force. We were seeing news people from just about every major network. Fox, CNN, Forbes, Wall Street Journal. Got a bit dangerous to venture out. There was a good chance you’d come face to face with a camera and microphone and an over eager reporter. Whatever. Must not have been anything else going on in the USA. We now have a new, improved and much better police department in office. We now have 2 full time officers doing way more that the 5 full time officers we had before. And, does any of the new media mention this? Heck no. Not one single word about the new officers.
Other stuff? Nada. That’s about it around here.
Photo for today is very similar to what Husband gave me for Christmas. I think mine is much prettier but so far I don’t have a photo of it.
