So, here we sit. First day of a new year. (yay)  Whatever. Sunny skies and temperatures in the mid 60′s. You’d think it was spring out there instead of winter. Now, don’t get me wrong. I’m in no way complaining about the weather. We all know the honest to goodness winter will be here fast enough.

Husband and I had a nice day. Stayed in, played with the dogs, watched TV and avoided being out on streets. It’s dangerous out there with all the East Texas rednecks. Mostly driving our roads drunk. Not that this only happens in Texas. I’m sure just about every highway you see today will be clogged with drunks or semi-drunks.

Big plans for tomorrow. We’re taking my SUV to the shop. For some unknown reason the tailgate, hatch or whatever you call it will no longer raise. Not manually or remotely. It just sits there. So, off it goes to the shop.

Other great things in our life? Not much. We’re old.  Oh, one thing. My hair appointment this week was moved from Wednesday to Thursday. Yeah, I’m pathetic, I know.
