Finally! Seems forever since I’ve been inside my office. Life seems to have caught up with me.  Or maybe just a case of laziness?

This being Wednesday, it was officially mememe day. Hair at noon and nails around 1:30. There was a plan for takeout from Panda Express but home made green chicken enchiladas won out.  Considering I don’t eat more than approximately one cup of food at any given meal, I sure do a lot of cooking.

Other earth shaking events on the home front. Husband has announced he needs to do a bit of Christmas shopping. (He hasn’t embraced online shopping.) I would never ever tell him what to buy or not buy for me. But…I did mention to please not buy jewelry or clothing. For some odd reason he thinks I like long dangly earrings. I hate them and never wear them and have no idea why he thinks I like them. As for clothing, even I never know what size to get. I have trousers/jeans/leggings from size 2 to size 6. Depends on the brand. And shirts/blouses are about the same. Lets face it. We’ve been buying Christmas, birthday and anniversary gifts for each other for almost 52 years. There really isn’t anything either of us need.

Maybe I should mention to you how we now only have one TV. It all started 12 years ago when we moved into our forever home. We didn’t bring our TV with us. It was one of the huge ugly things before flat screens were the way to go. Anyway, our first year here we were slightly busy with painting, having a wall relocated, installing hardwood flooring after ripping out what was basically new carpet.  We had internet hooked up for my multitude of computers. If we wanted to watch a movie we used the dvd on the computer’s 23 inch screen. Finally bought a 32″ flat screen with the intentions of moving it to the library when we upsized later. Built the shelving in the library with that in mind and left a space for it. Eventually the 32″ went to a corner in the bedroom. We replaced it with a 48″ in the family room. Well, this past weekend we did another upsize to 55″ with Roku built in. So, there was a TV not in use in the bedroom and a 48″ not in use sitting in the dining room. I called a friend and she happily came by. The 48″ goes to her daughter and the 32″ goes in a tiny house her son rents out. Now we (hopefully) plan to have our spiffy new TV installed on a wall. That’s the only way I can think of to make sure Gracie the cat doesn’t do damage when she’s watching wildlife movies. Yep, cat is addicted to TV. Oh, and the library has a large computer monitor sitting where the TV never made it to. I may just move that to a closet and add an extra shelf for more books.

Today’s photo was taken about 16 years ago in my former office. I miss that room every day.
